Our History
The 39 years experience account for Transports Simon’s career in the world of transportation. This experience and knowledge bakground has allowed Transports Simon to learn how to best use their resources and optimise results.
The company was established in 1977. It started with a single concrete mixer truck and eventually new vehicles were added.
In 1979, hauling for national transport companies with road tractors and tipper lorries started.
In 1982, the myriad activities were extended to international hauling and diesel distribution. The company reached 18 units.
In 1997, a change in commercial strategy was implemented and cargo companies were serviced directly instead of using other transportation companies. This change had a very positive impact on the growth, service and name of the company.
In 2001, trade relations became international reaching clients in France and Germany, with whom they are still in business and with whom they have enhanced their labour relations.
In 2007, the company opened their branch in Romania in order to broaden their horizons and access different markets.
PRESENT – FUTURE
Currently, and thanks to customer loyalty, human capital, specialisation level and good service, they are proud to keep their growth perspectives intact.
FACILITIES
The facilities of Transports Simon SL are found in an unparalleled strategic location. They are located near Girona’s city centre and between the A7 motorway and the N-II road, in the North Girona area, 60 km from French border. Built in a 5000 sqm plot, the facilities area is of 1900 sqm and they comprise:

- Wharehouse
- Garage intended for vehicle repairs

Quality assurance is one of the main goals of the company, which was awarded the ISO 9001 certification in year 2000. Their commitment to quality involves every level of the organisation and adheres to the company’s rigour, transparency and efficiency principles. The latter allows Transports Simon to:

- Improve the organisation’s efficiency to establish programmes and actions aimed at preventing rather than at correcting.

FLEET
The company counts with a fleet of 85 own vehicles among which tractor heads, semitrailers (curtainsiders, megas, box vans, cable reel and folding platform lifts, gondolas) and vans.

ENVIRONMENT
Transports Simon is all for environmentally friendly policies. The fleet consists of numerous EURO 6 and EURO 5 vehicles and strictly abides the rules and regulations for noise pollution and environment set by the regional, state and European authorities. Moreover, good practice in waste management in the garage ensure environmental control and pollution prevention.
